We only sell what we grow.
Since it began operations in August 2013, The Falls Farm has undergone a rapid transformation and is already supplying a range of restaurants in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Veggie boxes are in high demand with the quality and the colour of the produce bringing back regulars as well as new word-of-mouth devotees. From the beginning, the stalls at Montville and Maleny growers markets have attracted a growing group of foodies and farmers that love to talk fresh produce and preserves.
Biological farming
We take a biological farming approach to food production. This means we respect the natural processes in the farm and surrounding environment in order to yield top quality and nutrient dense foods, provide a viable living and sustain long-term productivity.
We currently have seven market garden ‘rooms’ that we apply sustainable permaculture principles to. Our seed stock comes from Green Harvest at nearby Maleny.
“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow. ”
A little bit of history...
The Falls Farm is the product of a few people's dreams. The journey began after a road trip inspired the desire to break out of the city and create a sanctuary escape. Once the land was found, in the heart of Mapleton, the abundance of volcanic soil could only mean one thing: food. Lucky Christine was such an incredible grower and lucky she was ready to be a full-time farmer.
